Dr. Tanikka Price Represents HIO at Hawai‘i CHW Conference

Dr. Tanikka Price represented Health Impact Ohio as the keynote speaker at the Hawai‘i Community Health Worker Association Conference on August 7, 2026, in Honolulu. The conference theme, “Waves of Change: Celebrating Community Health Workers’ Impact Across Hawai‘i,” brought together CHWs and partners to recognize their vital role in strengthening communities.

In her keynote, “The Power of One,” Dr. Price shared the profound influence of her grandmother, Lillie A. Owusu, and her mentor and father figure, Lawrence “Larry” Mamiya, who was born and passed away in Honolulu. She connected their impact to the powerful difference a single Community Health Worker can make in a client's life each day.

HIO is proud to have Dr. Price share this message on a national stage and is grateful to the Hawai‘i Community Health Worker Association and keynote sponsor Pear Suite for the opportunity.
