Our Mission:

To educate, equip, and empower Community Health Workers to be competent and valued members of the healthcare system and greater community.

Our Vision:

To create a trusting learning environment that prepares Community Health Workers to use their knowledge and life experiences to improve health outcomes, promote health equity, and eliminate health disparities in the community.

What is the HIO CHW Certification Training Program?

The Health Impact Ohio Community Health Worker (CHW) Certification Training Program prepares individuals to serve as trusted leaders and advocates in their communities.

Participants gain the skills to connect individuals to care, provide health education, and navigate complex health and social systems, improving outcomes and strengthening communities.

How does it work?

Why the CHW Workforce Matters:

From Franklin County, Columbus, to communities across Ohio and beyond, CHWs bridge healthcare systems and communities, reduce barriers, and advance health and wellbeing for all people in every community.

“Working alongside her has been a true asset to our workforce team and, most importantly, to our job seekers. Her dedication, compassion, and hands-on support have made a meaningful difference in helping our participants navigate challenges and stay engaged in their goals.

Our team has seen firsthand how much trust and comfort she brings to the people we serve, and we are grateful for the positive energy and care she brings into this collaboration. The feedback from our job seekers has been overwhelmingly positive, and it’s clear that her presence has strengthened the overall support system we’re building.

We would love to continue working closely with your Community Health Worker team to further support our job seekers and deepen this partnership. Our shared goal is to provide holistic, person-centered services, and we truly value the role Healthy Impact plays in helping us achieve that.”
