Certification Training Program

Our Mission:

To educate, equip, and empower Community Health Workers to be competent and valued members of the healthcare system and greater community.

Our Vision:

To create a trusting learning environment that prepares Community Health Workers to use their knowledge and life experiences to improve health outcomes, promote health equity, and eliminate health disparities in the community.


 You Could be a Community Health Worker!

  • A trusted individual who lives, works, or worships in the community that they serve. CHWs are employed by community-based organizations, FQHCs, Clinics, Hospitals, and more, where they are experts at connecting their clients with resources and services that address the individual’s health related social needs.

    • 18 years old or older (unless in the High School Program)

    • Have at least a GED or High School Diploma

    • Love engaging with your community

    • Working as or interested in working as a CHW or similar job title connecting clients with resources and services in the community

    • Able to make a 12-week online class Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 3-5pm

    • Able to attend an in-person graduation (5 hours) in Columbus, Ohio

    • Able to work 130 hours and complete a Practicum Placement within six months of graduation

  • 12 Week Online Class + 130 hours of on-site training

    Classes with a live online instructor are held on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday afternoons

    Classes/TrainingCertification are all provided at no cost to the student and/or agency
